Tissue Engineering 2022

Top 10 Tissue Engineering Companies in Europe - 2022

Top 10 Tissue Engineering Companies in Europe - 2022

Due to the rising incidence of chronic diseases and increasing number of trauma injuries and road accidents the demand for advanced treatment procedures, including tissue engineering has increased manifold. Road accidents are among the major fatalities worldwide as they cause serious injuries to bones and organs. As per the World Health Organization (WHO), ~20-50 million people get injured every year in road accidents. With regard to this, tissue engineering offers alternatives to surgical reconstruction, transplantation, and mechanical device instruction to repair damaged tissues. The tissue engineering market is led by a continuous need for effective regenerative treatments to treat increasing cases of diabetes, obesity, and other disorders caused by lifestyle changes; surging population of elderly people; and rising number of trauma case.

A spinal cord injury (SCI) can cause damage to the spinal cord that temporarily or permanently changes its function. According to Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute (MDPI), an estimated 3 million people across the world suffer from traumatic SCI, and ~180,000 new cases are reported each year. SCI often results in devastating, long-lasting neurological deficits, manifesting as dysfunction of the motor, sensory, or autonomic nervous systems below the level of injury.

This edition of Life Sciences Review features “Top 10 Tissue Engineering Companies in Europe - 2022” and highlights some of the key developments in the space and how companies are leveraging tissue engineering solutions to boost their growth. The magazine highlights companies like NeuroBioMat (NBM) that has developed a breakthrough technology to biologically rebuild the missing nerve connections of the spinal cord.

Additionally, this edition put forth thought leadership articles from Samir Ounzain, Scientist, regulatory RNAs, HAYA Therapeutics & Caroline Herody, Head of Global Regulatory Affairs, Chr. Hansen among others, who have imparted their opinions on how tissue engineering solutions can help businesses to attain further innovation and growth.

Write to us about how you are leveraging tissue engineering solutions in your organizations!
